U.S. Media Says "Bush" Aircraft Carrier Will Head to the Middle East

According to a report by ABC News on March 27, the U.S. Navy's USS Bush carrier strike group will head to the Middle East, which means that the U.S. military may have three aircraft carriers involved in military operations against Iran.

The report cites two anonymous U.S. officials stating that the USS Bush carrier strike group left Norfolk, Virginia, earlier this week to carry out a routine deployment mission. According to the latest deployment, the USS Bush will head to the Middle East, but it is unclear how long it will take for the carrier strike group to arrive in the region.

The report mentions that the USS Bush carrier strike group includes not only the USS Bush but also the USS Ross, USS Donald Cook, and USS Mason, three destroyers.

CNN previously reported that the USS Bush carrier strike group will operate within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, which includes the Middle East.

Currently, the U.S. military has two carrier strike groups, the USS Lincoln and the USS Ford, engaged in military operations against Iran. However, the USS Ford recently experienced a laundry room fire and is currently undergoing repairs in Crete, Greece.
