On April 9, Xinhua News Agency reported from Washington that CBS News cited two U.S. officials stating that since April 1, the U.S. Department of Defense has lost 8 "Reaper" drones in the Middle East. The total loss of this type of drone in military operations against Iran has reached 24.

The report stated that the loss of these drones is valued at approximately $720 million. Depending on the specific model, the cost of a single "Reaper" drone can be as high as $30 million or even more.
