U.S. Military Suspends Search for Soldier Missing in Arabian Sea Helicopter Incident
On the 5th local time, the U.S. Navy Central Command announced on social media that the U.S. Navy has suspended active search operations for a missing sailor as of 3 PM local time on the 5th.
The missing individual is a member of the 5th Squadron of Maritime Strike Helicopters and was deployed on the USS George H.W. Bush at the time of the incident. The sailor went missing after an MH-60S Seahawk helicopter made an emergency water landing in the Arabian Sea on July 1.
