Video | Chinese Coast Guard Conducts Comprehensive Maritime Law Enforcement Training in the Waters of Ren'ai Reef and Xianbin Reef
Recently, the Chinese Coast Guard Dong'an ship fleet conducted comprehensive maritime law enforcement training in the waters of Ren'ai Reef and Xianbin Reef, strengthening and improving on-site law enforcement control capabilities.
CCTV reporter Wang Shantao: I am currently in the waters of Ren'ai Reef and Xianbin Reef, where a fleet consisting of the Chinese Coast Guard Dong'an ship, Nanguan ship, and Sanzhou Ao boat is conducting comprehensive maritime law enforcement training.

As the alarm sounded, all participating ships immediately sprang into action, quickly reaching their designated positions. According to reports, this training focused on foreign vessels illegally entering the waters of Ren'ai Reef and Xianbin Reef, conducting training on reconnaissance, monitoring, navigation control, and small boat tactical maneuvers.

During the training, a scenario was simulated where a foreign fishing vessel entered the waters of Ren'ai Reef and Xianbin Reef to conduct illegal fishing. Under the command of the fleet, two law enforcement boats moved forward to carry out boarding inspections. During the inspection, Chinese Coast Guard law enforcement officers discovered that the vessel was engaged in illegal fishing of protected aquatic wildlife, using electric shocks and explosives for fishing, among other violations. After legally confiscating its fishing gear and catch, warning and expulsion measures were taken against the fishing vessel.

Additionally, this training also strengthened basic training for individual ships in areas such as optical evidence collection, water cannon operation drills, and drone operation.

Chinese Coast Guard Dong'an ship law enforcement officer Lin Weicong: Through this training, we further prepared to respond to foreign infringements related to Ren'ai Reef and Xianbin Reef, continuously improving the fleet's tactical coordination and joint maritime operational capabilities.
