Military expert Cao Weidong introduced that there are many difficulties in joint operations or joint exercises, involving air force, navy, army, and rocket force, with multiple units executing the same mission, namely the island landing and assault mission.
Air Force: Assisting in completing this mission through aerial strikes against land targets.
Army: Boarding the amphibious assault ship, crossing from the sea to the shore, and seizing the beachhead for an attack.
Rocket Force: Launching missiles from land to strike land or sea targets.
Navy: Including submarines underwater, surface vessels, and the Marine Corps.
Cao Weidong stated that multiple military branches and various weapon systems must coordinate like "ten fingers playing the piano," requiring a unified perception of the battlefield situation, differentiation between friend and foe, and targeting key objectives. Therefore, the level of informationization and the ability to coordinate and cooperate must be very strong, ensuring that nothing goes wrong.

Cao Weidong emphasized that the Type 075 amphibious assault ship is of utmost importance, needing to coordinate with other military branches and ensure that the troops and equipment for the island landing and assault are transported quickly and in large quantities in the shortest time possible. In this process, the battlefield situation is ever-changing, which is the greatest test for the Type 075 amphibious assault ship or amphibious combat forces.
