This ability to quickly switch modes is actually a guarantee of combat capability and sustained rapid operational capability.

With fixed-wing carrier-based early warning aircraft like the KJ-600, how will the overall combat capability of the Fujian be enhanced?

Wei Dongxu: First of all, the entire carrier strike group will become safer. Because the KJ-600 can utilize advanced radar systems, flying high and seeing far. If the opponent deploys fighter jets or launches cruise missiles, the KJ-600 can detect the number and speed of the targets from a great distance. This allows for the most valuable early warning information to be transmitted to the command personnel and decision-making system of the carrier strike group as quickly as possible.

The KJ-600 is both an early warning "Thousand-Mile Eye" and a flight commander. It can guide carrier-based fighter jets to intercept incoming targets and also share intelligence and data with advanced destroyers and frigates in the carrier strike group, allowing them to conduct joint air defense and missile defense operations alongside the carrier-based aircraft. Therefore, it plays an important and irreplaceable role in the integration and application of information and the detection and identification of targets.

Wei Dongxu: The most important role of the J-15DT is to effectively master the electromagnetic supremacy in the mission area. By carrying large electronic jamming pods, it can conduct full-spectrum signal suppression, rendering the communication equipment and radar systems of the opponent's surface warships ineffective, and can perform electronic suppression against the opponent's air defense systems, and even electronic jamming against their aircraft.
