Yesterday (15th), the South African Navy frigate "Amatola" arrived at a military port in Shanghai, commencing a 5-day friendly visit.
At around 4 PM, a welcome ceremony was held at the dock by a certain base of the Eastern Theater Command Navy, with officers and soldiers lined up neatly and a military band playing welcoming music. This visit marks the first time the "Amatola" has visited Shanghai, and it is the second visit of a South African Navy vessel to China since 2008, aimed at deepening practical exchanges between the two navies, enhancing strategic mutual trust, and jointly maintaining regional peace and stability.
