According to a report from Reference News Network on November 7, Al Jazeera reported on November 4 that the Yemeni government forces have further advanced into the strategically significant Dhahyan Mountains in the eastern province of Al-Jawf.

On the 4th, the Yemeni government forces issued a statement saying that, with the support of fighter jets and drones, the troops launched a strong assault on the defensive fortifications and barracks of the Houthi armed forces in the area, seizing their weapons and military equipment. The statement also indicated that they conducted airstrikes and drone strikes against multiple Houthi gathering points and ammunition depots, inflicting heavy damage on the Houthis.

The reported achievements are the latest progress in the "Yemen Dawn" operation, which has now entered its second month. Government forces have been attacking Houthi strongholds and defensive positions for weeks and have announced that they have recaptured several high ground positions east of the provincial capital Hazm in Al-Jawf.

Rashad Alimi, chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, stated that the operation will continue until the functioning of national institutions and the authority of the Yemeni government are restored nationwide.

The government forces claimed that they have conducted airstrikes on Houthi positions in the western part of Taiz province. In the northern part of Lahij province, the government forces stated that they have regained positions in the Al-Maqaytira area. This area is located on a critical defensive line connecting Taiz and Aden.

A military source told Al Jazeera that a Houthi ballistic missile struck a military training camp in the southern province of Dhale, resulting in 8 deaths and over 15 injuries.

An Al Jazeera reporter cited local sources as saying that the missile hit new recruits gathered at the Jumaymah camp in northern Dhale province. No official casualty figures have been released yet, and some Yemeni media reported higher casualty numbers.

According to a report from DPA on November 4, Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree stated on the 4th that the Houthis launched a new round of attacks on the airport in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

Saree stated that a missile directly hit the airport. He also warned travelers, airlines, and their staff not to enter Saudi airspace, claiming that this airspace cannot avoid Houthi attacks.

The Saudi side has not yet confirmed this news. However, the Saudi Civil Defense has issued new warnings since the night of the 3rd, indicating that Riyadh and other provinces may face danger.

For weeks, the Houthis have continued to attack airports and oil facilities within Saudi Arabia, with some attacks resulting in casualties.

Meanwhile, the conflict in Yemen continues, with intense fighting breaking out again recently. Around the strategic stronghold of Taiz, the Houthis are fighting against the Yemeni government forces supported by Saudi Arabia.

The Houthis have also targeted locations in the southern coastal city of Aden, which is the seat of the internationally recognized Yemeni government. (Translated by Liu Zongya and Xu Yanhong)
