Yemen's Houthi forces claim to have attacked a Saudi airbase
On September 14 local time, the Houthi armed group in Yemen claimed to have attacked the air force base located in Khamis Mushait, Saudi Arabia.
Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree stated that in the past five days, Saudi Arabia has launched over 300 airstrikes using F-15 and Typhoon fighter jets, targeting most provinces in Yemen, with the aircraft taking off from two bases located in Khamis Mushait and Taif. In response, the Houthi armed forces used dozens of ballistic missiles and drones to "strike the King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait, with all strikes accurately hitting their targets and causing significant damage to the base."
Yahya Saree stated that the Houthi armed group will continue to adhere to the principle of "blockade for blockade, escalation for escalation" until Saudi Arabia stops its aggression and lifts the blockade on Yemen.
