On June 12 local time, the first three F-35 multirole fighter jets officially joined the Polish Armed Forces. Polish President Andrzej Duda and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Mariusz Błaszczak attended the induction ceremony held at the 32nd Tactical Air Base in Łask.
The first three F-35 multirole fighter jets arrived at the base on May 22 and were named "Cavalry". In 2020, Poland signed a contract worth approximately $4.6 billion with the United States to procure 32 F-35 stealth multirole fighter jets.
