On September 2, the Southern Theater Command of the People's Liberation Army organized naval and air forces to conduct combat readiness patrols in the territorial waters and airspace surrounding China's Huangyan Island. Huangyan Island is an inherent territory of China. Since August, the theater command has continuously strengthened patrol and alert operations in the air and sea areas around Huangyan Island, further enhancing control over these maritime and aerial domains, effectively responding to various infringement provocations, resolutely safeguarding national sovereignty and security, and firmly maintaining peace and stability in the South China Sea region.
