The RQ-21A Blackjack is the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps Small Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System, built by Insitu, a Boeing company. It provides expeditionary units with a rail-launched, recoverable fixed-wing UAV for reconnaissance from land bases or maritime environments.
Blackjack supports electro-optical, infrared, laser rangefinding, communications relay, and other payload options. Its ship-compatible launch and recovery approach makes it useful for Marine expeditionary units, small surface combatants, and forward bases that need persistent ISR without a runway.
