KC-30A

The Royal Australian Air Force describes the KC-30A MRTT as a heavily modified Airbus A330 airliner that provides air-to-air refuelling and strategic airlift. Airbus identifies the A330 MRTT as a widely used modern tanker aircraft operated by many air forces. In Australian service, the KC-30A is central to extending fighter, surveillance, and transport operations over long distances.

RAAF material states that KC-30A uses an Advanced Refuelling Boom System and underwing refuelling pods, giving compatibility with different receiver aircraft. It can also carry passengers and under-floor cargo, making it more than a pure tanker. Based on the A330 airframe, it brings airline-scale range, volume, and maintainability into military service.
