The MiG-19 Farmer, developed as a successor to the MiG-17, was a Soviet fighter capable of supersonic speeds but initially faced reliability issues, particularly during landing and at high speeds. Despite its combat effectiveness during the Vietnam War, it gained a poor reputation among pilots and was eventually replaced by the MiG-21, while China produced around 3,000 units under the designation J-6.
