The Su-30 is a twin-engine, two-seat member of the Flanker family developed from the Su-27 lineage. It added range, crew coordination, multirole weapons employment, and export adaptability, making it one of the most widely used heavy fighters derived from the Soviet/Russian fighter base.
The aircraft combines a large airframe, powerful engines, substantial fuel capacity, radar-guided missile carriage, and precision-strike options. The rear crew station can support navigation, sensors, and weapons management on long missions. Advanced national variants add different radars, avionics, thrust-vectoring, or weapons packages depending on operator requirements.
Su-30 should be read as a family rather than one uniform aircraft. Indian, Chinese, Russian, Malaysian, Algerian, and other variants differ in avionics and weapons integration.
