Soviet SACLOS anti-tank missile for mechanized forces
Konkurs gave Soviet mechanized and infantry units a widely deployable SACLOS ATGM.
The 9M113 Konkurs was developed as a Soviet second-generation anti-tank guided missile for infantry and vehicle-mounted use. It provided longer-range and more capable SACLOS guidance than older manual-control systems while remaining portable enough for widespread deployment. The missile became a standard anti-armor weapon across Soviet and allied inventories.
