81st Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People's Anti-Japanese War and the World Anti-Fascist War: Commemorative Activities by Various Troops
Today (September 3) marks the 81st anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. On the eve of the commemorative day, various units of the armed forces revisited the glorious years of the anti-Japanese war through various forms, continuing the great spirit of resistance and transforming their sincere remembrance of the martyrs into steadfast actions for military training and safeguarding the nation.
On the Karakoram Plateau at an altitude of over 4,000 meters, a unit of the Xinjiang Military Command moved the red education classroom to the top of the snow-capped mountains. The officers and soldiers solemnly swore an oath, firmly establishing their belief in guarding the border and defending the nation, and honing their character of loyalty and responsibility. They also visited the highest martyr cemetery in the military, the Kangxiwa Martyrs' Cemetery, to pay tribute to the heroes in a solemn ceremony and to refine their original intentions.

Pei Youquan, a member of a unit of the Xinjiang Military Command: History must not be forgotten, and the martyrs must not be forgotten. As officers and soldiers on the plateau in the new era, we must inherit the spirit of resistance, continue the red bloodline, engrave the vow of "better to shed our blood than to lose an inch of our territory" into our bones and carry it out in our posts, resolutely guarding every inch of our motherland's territory.
Units also visited local patriotic education bases and revolutionary memorial sites. Each artifact tells a story of revolutionary past, reflecting on the history of the anti-Japanese war and listening to heroic deeds, allowing the officers and soldiers to truly appreciate the hard-won nature of peace.

Guo Xicheng, from the 926th Hospital of the Joint Logistics Support Force: The peaceful and happy life we enjoy today is the result of countless revolutionary martyrs sacrificing their lives and fighting bravely, exchanging their blood and lives for it. We must inherit the will of the martyrs, carry forward their revolutionary spirit, and diligently practice our skills to achieve new accomplishments in our respective positions.
The troops also focused on military training and preparation, innovating red education forms through activities such as physical demonstrations, historical research, sharing stories of strengthening the military, and revisiting oaths, guiding officers and soldiers to appreciate the noble character of their predecessors who were unafraid of strong enemies and fought bravely.

Summer Yanhao, from a certain brigade of the 71st Group Army: As a frontline combat unit, we must integrate the great spirit of resistance into the entire process of military training and preparation, closely aligning with actual combat training, honing our winning capabilities, and resolutely shouldering the mission of strengthening the military in the new era.

Zhang Jinfeng, from a certain brigade of the 73rd Group Army: We will continue to inherit the fighting spirit of our predecessors who were unafraid of strong enemies and fought bravely, integrating it into our daily military training and preparation, transforming our remembrance and respect for the revolutionary martyrs into an inexhaustible driving force for military training and preparation, and taking practical actions to shoulder our responsibilities and commitments.
