Xinhua News Agency, Kuwait City, September 7 (Reporter Yin Zha) - Sana'a reports: According to the Houthi-controlled Saba News Agency, on the 7th, Saudi Arabia launched an airstrike on a prison in the city of Hazm, the capital of Al-Jawf province in northern Yemen, resulting in 7 deaths and 7 injuries.

Footage broadcast by the Houthi-controlled Masirah TV on the same day showed severe damage to the prison facilities, with rescue personnel conducting search and rescue operations. The report quoted the prison director as saying that the airstrike caused casualties among women and children, and that 35 detainees and a woman visiting her husband are still trapped under the rubble.

The Saudi side has not yet responded to this.

Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree stated on social media on the 7th that Saudi Arabia is conducting reconnaissance flights over Yemen, launching airstrikes, and providing weapons to the Yemeni government forces, and that these military actions "will not go unanswered."

The Houthis announced a maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia on July 20, and have since attacked Saudi oil tankers multiple times in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, using missiles and drones to strike energy facilities within Saudi Arabia. The Saudi-led coalition has also targeted Houthi military objectives.
