All-weather, All-sea Mission Execution! A Detailed Analysis of the Outstanding Comprehensive Performance of the Lingshan Ship

This year marks the 5th anniversary of the implementation of the Coast Guard Law and the 7th anniversary of the launch of the 95110 maritime alarm platform. Yesterday, the cities of Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Haikou held a series of events including ship open days and national defense education activities simultaneously, showcasing a total of 8 law enforcement vessels. Among them, the Lingshan, Liaowang, and Sanhe law enforcement vessels were displayed in Tianjin.

At around 8 a.m., invited citizens arrived early at the Tianjin International Cruise Home Port dock. Under the guidance of Coast Guard law enforcement officers, everyone orderly verified their identity information and boarded the ships in groups to experience the professional law enforcement capabilities of the Coast Guard up close.

This time, Tianjin opened the Lingshan, Liaowang, and Sanhe law enforcement vessels to the public. Among them, the Lingshan is a new type of Coast Guard law enforcement vessel designed and built independently by China.

Citizen Wang Jiaxin: My usual impression of the Coast Guard mostly comes from news reports. This on-site visit allowed me to truly feel the difficulties they face in conducting maritime rights protection law enforcement, and it deepened our understanding of marine rights protection and maritime law enforcement work.

In the interactive experience area, Coast Guard law enforcement officers attracted a large number of citizens to stop and experience through knowledge quizzes, flag signaling demonstrations, and boat skills, allowing young people to intuitively understand marine knowledge and the functions of the Coast Guard through hands-on participation.

Student Jiang Muhan: Today was my first time on a real Coast Guard ship, and I learned how to tie a sailor's knot from the Coast Guard uncle. Seeing them protect the country and contribute to the nation, I feel they are heroes and very brave. When I grow up, I also want to be a Coast Guard law enforcement officer.

At the event site, law enforcement officers combined the actual situation of maritime governance to focus on explaining legal responsibilities such as maritime rights protection law enforcement, maritime security control, and marine ecological protection. They used real cases to analyze the legal consequences of illegal fishing, illegal operations, and other violations, and popularized convenient knowledge such as maritime emergency self-rescue and seasonal fishing moratorium control.

Lingshan: A new type of Coast Guard law enforcement main vessel designed and built independently

During this ship open day event, the Lingshan, a new type of Coast Guard law enforcement vessel designed and built independently by China, showcased outstanding comprehensive performance, with long endurance, high navigability, and three-dimensional advantages, capable of carrying out maritime rights protection law enforcement tasks in all weather and across all sea areas. So, what equipment is equipped on this new type of Coast Guard law enforcement vessel? What advantages does it have in handling maritime emergencies?

Reporter Guo Peng from CCTV: I am currently on the deck of the Lingshan. Next to me is the Coast Guard's latest onboard water cannon, which is one of the core pieces of equipment for Coast Guard vessels. It plays an important role in extinguishing fires on maritime vessels, warning and driving away non-compliant vessels, and handling various maritime emergencies.

Coast Guard law enforcement officer Wang Xianglin: This water cannon can aim in all directions, has a long range, strong water pressure, and precise control. As an important non-lethal law enforcement equipment, it has dual attributes of law enforcement equipment and life-saving firefighting equipment. It can legally drive away infringing vessels at sea and stop illegal activities, as well as effectively rescue vessels on fire at sea and contain oil spill fire zones, ensuring the safety of personnel.

The Lingshan is equipped with multiple new high-speed law enforcement boats, mainly used for boarding control, law enforcement inspections, maritime search and rescue, and rescuing the injured. Compared to the early Coast Guard law enforcement boats, it has achieved comprehensive upgrades in power, endurance, and carrying capacity.

Coast Guard law enforcement officer Jiang Shoucheng: The small boats are made of fiberglass, with the law enforcement boats on both sides using hydraulic launch systems, and the stern law enforcement boats using a slideway for launching and retrieval.

In addition, the Lingshan is equipped with a helicopter platform that can carry multiple types of helicopters, enabling ship-air coordination and three-dimensional patrols. Currently, this type of vessel has gradually participated in regular maritime rights protection law enforcement tasks in the Diaoyu Islands and Huangyan Island, becoming an important force for the China Coast Guard in maintaining national sovereignty, security, and maritime rights. It is worth mentioning that just this January, the China Coast Guard successfully rescued and transferred 17 Filipino crew members in the waters around Huangyan Island, relying on this type of vessel, fully reflecting the concept of prioritizing life and showcasing the image of a responsible major power.
