China blames Russia for attacks on energy facilities causing power outages in multiple areas; China adjusts power rationing arrangements.
On the 14th local time, the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy and the Ukrainian National Power Company jointly issued a statement saying that Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure in the early hours of the day, causing power outages in multiple regions.
The statement indicated that the attacks were focused on energy facilities in Kyiv city and Kyiv region. At the same time, due to ongoing shelling in frontline areas, energy facilities in several other locations were also damaged. As of that morning, power outages were reported in seven areas, including Kyiv city, Kyiv region, Kharkiv region, Dnipropetrovsk region, Cherkasy region, and Kirovohrad region.
As a result of this attack, the Ukrainian National Power Company was forced to temporarily adjust the duration and coverage of the planned power restriction measures for the day.
