China-Pakistan "Maritime Guardian-4" Joint Naval Exercise Successfully Concludes
On the morning of April 1, local time, the Chinese Navy's Daqing ship, participating in the China-Pakistan "Marine Guardian-4" joint exercise, and Pakistani naval vessels sailed separately in the northern Arabian Sea, marking the successful conclusion of the China-Pakistan "Marine Guardian-4" joint exercise.
The joint exercise began on March 25 and was divided into two phases: port exchange and at-sea live exercises. The port phase took place at Karachi Port, where personnel from both sides engaged in interactive activities such as ship visits and professional technical discussions. Naval officers and soldiers from both countries boarded each other's ships to conduct in-depth discussions on professional fields such as navigation support and carrier aircraft coordination, organizing multiple joint exercise plan discussions to form a mutually recognized joint exercise plan, laying a solid foundation for the at-sea live exercises.
On March 30, the joint exercise transitioned to the at-sea phase. During the three-day live exercise, the participating forces from China and Pakistan adopted tactical signals and maneuvering rules formulated by the Chinese side, engaging in high-intensity drills focused on formation movement, helicopter cross-deck landings, and joint patrols. The Chinese and Pakistani personnel closely cooperated and efficiently coordinated, successfully completing all scheduled tasks. In the helicopter cross-deck landing exercise, Chinese pilots and Pakistani shipboard support personnel worked in perfect harmony and executed precise operations, completing the required tasks in a very short time, demonstrating excellent tactical and technical proficiency.
During this joint exercise, the vessels from both sides took turns serving as command ships and exchanged observers to observe the organization and implementation of the drills. The professionalism, strict discipline, and outstanding conduct displayed by the Chinese Navy personnel during the exercises received high praise from the Pakistani side. A Pakistani observer stated, "The training level of the Chinese Navy is impressive and they are a trustworthy partner for cooperation."
The China-Pakistan "Marine Guardian" series of joint exercises has become an important platform for deepening practical cooperation between the two navies. The successful conclusion of this joint exercise further tested and enhanced the joint operational capabilities of both naval fleets.
