Xinhua News Agency, Qingdao, July 13 (Reporters Li Bingxuan, Li Jie) The China-Russia "Maritime Joint-2026" joint exercise completed all scheduled tasks on the morning of the 13th and concluded at a military port in Qingdao. Some participating forces set sail for the Pacific Ocean to conduct joint patrols.
This joint exercise focused on the theme of "jointly responding to maritime security threats." Both sides dispatched a total of 10 various types of vessels to participate, covering surface, underwater, aerial, and support forces.
During the planning phase at the port, both sides organized map exercises, professional discussions, and ship tours, and conducted activities such as a basketball friendly match and a reception. After transitioning to the maritime training phase, the participating forces jointly completed live-fire drills for several tasks, including joint reconnaissance, air defense and missile defense, maritime strike, and joint submarine rescue.
