Chinese Navy's 83rd Fleet Arrives in Russia for Friendly Visit
Xinhua News Agency, Vladivostok, June 23 (Reporter Sun Ping) The Chinese Navy's 83rd Fleet, currently on a long-range training and visit mission, arrived at the port of Vladivostok, Russia, on the 23rd, beginning a four-day friendly visit to Russia.
On the morning of the 23rd local time, the Chinese Navy's destroyer Qi Jiguang and the supply ship Kunlunshan arrived at Vladivostok port. Over 200 people, including staff from the Chinese Consulate General in Vladivostok, representatives of local Chinese expatriates, student representatives, and officers and soldiers from the Russian Navy's Pacific Fleet, gathered at the dock to welcome them. Cadets from the Naval Engineering University of the People's Liberation Army and the Naval Submarine Academy lined up on the deck in sections to greet the welcoming crowd.
During the visit, the officers and soldiers of the Chinese Navy's 83rd Fleet will engage in exchange activities with their Russian Navy counterparts.
