Chinese Navy's 83rd Fleet Concludes Friendly Visit to Russia
Xinhua News Agency, Vladivostok, June 27 (Reporter Sun Ping) - The Chinese Navy's 83rd fleet concluded its friendly visit to Russia on the 27th and departed from Vladivostok Port to continue its offshore comprehensive training and visiting mission.
On the morning of the 27th local time, a farewell ceremony was held at the dock in Vladivostok Port by the Russian side. Staff from the Chinese Consulate General in Vladivostok, representatives of local Chinese expatriates, representatives from Chinese-funded institutions, student representatives, and Russian Navy officers and soldiers gathered at the dock to bid farewell.
The Chinese Navy's 83rd fleet consists of the guided-missile destroyer Qi Jiguang and the supply ship Kunlunshan. During the visit, the fleet commander and his delegation met with officials from the Russian Navy academies and the Vladivostok city government. Representatives of the fleet's officers and soldiers engaged in professional exchanges aboard Russian Navy vessels and at the Nakhimov Naval School's Vladivostok branch, and participated in a friendly football match with the Russian side.
