On October 25, Xinhua News Agency reported from Bogotá (Reporter Li Zijian) that Colombian President Gustavo Petro stated via social media on the 25th that the Colombian military and police recently conducted a joint military operation in the southwestern province of Cauca, killing 10 members of the anti-government armed group "Colombian National Liberation Army," including two key leaders.

Petro claimed that this operation was the most severe blow to the anti-government armed group in the past eight years, which not only weakened the command structure and combat capability of the organization but also thwarted its attempts to control strategic corridors along the Pacific coast of Colombia and related areas. During the operation, military and police personnel seized 7 rifles, 1 pistol, and 2 grenades, and discovered a camp capable of accommodating about 25 people.

The "Colombian National Liberation Army" was founded in 1964 and is believed to have thousands of members. The organization is designated as a terrorist group by the United States and the European Union, primarily operating in the Pacific coastal region of Colombia and the border areas between Colombia and Venezuela.
