EuroTrophy announced on 19 January 2026 that it has signed a contract with KNDS Deutschland to supply the Trophy active protection system (APS) to four new user nations of the Leopard 2A8 main battle tank (MBT): Lithuania, The Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Croatia.

The contract, which is valued at EUR 330 million, also includes spare parts, trainings packages as well as logistic equipment needed for the through-life-support of the APS.

The Leopard 2A8 MBT includes the Trophy APS as part of its standard configuration, allowing true interoperability and full commonality across the nations operating the tank.

“With this achievement, Trophy becomes the NATO active protection system of choice, enabling the full spectrum of protection capabilities needed in the eastern front and on the modern battlefield,” the company stated in a press release.

In addition to being installed on the Israeli Merkava IV MBT, the Trophy has been integrated on all major Western MBTs – including the German-developed Leopard 2, the US M1 Abrams and in future the UK’s Challenger 3 – as well as lighter wheeled and tracked armoured platforms including the Boxer, Patria AMV, Namer and others.

EuroTrophy, which is based in Germany, is the European hub for provision of the Trophy APS, which was developed by Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defense Systems.
