Female Soldier Rushes into the Sea to Brave Rescue Father and Son in Distress!
Recently, a handwritten thank-you letter
was sent to a certain station of the Naval Aviation University
The letter warmly recounted
the heroic act of female officer Zhao Hang
who, during her vacation,
bravely rescued a father and son who fell into the water.
Not long ago,
while on vacation, Zhao Hang
was playing at the Fengqi Bay beach in Xingcheng, Liaoning,
with two young children.
As the sky gradually darkened and the tide continued to rise,
just as she was about to call the children back to shore,
a frantic cry for help was heard.
Looking in the direction of the sound,
she saw a father and son struggling in the deep water,
fighting against the waves,
in imminent danger of losing their lives.
In this critical moment, the instinct of a soldier
made Zhao Hang act without hesitation,
bravely charging into the sea
to swim towards the drowning father and son.
Upon reaching the danger area,
Zhao Hang immediately handed a life ring
to the father, who was exhausted after falling into the water,
helping him stabilize his position and maintain his breathing.
She then quickly swam towards the drowning boy,
using all her strength to drag and escort the child back to the shore.
After successfully bringing the boy to shore,
Zhao Hang returned once more to assist the father,
only to find that the father had completely lost the ability to save himself.
With the help of enthusiastic bystanders who arrived shortly after,
they quickly rescued him back to the shore.
After the incident,
the family of the rescued wrote a heartfelt thank-you letter,
stating, “In times of crisis, you selflessly saved others,
demonstrating great love for humanity through your actions,
showcasing the responsibility and commitment of a revolutionary soldier in the new era,
and proving that women are no less than men.”
In response to this sincere gratitude,
Zhao Hang said,
“I am a soldier, and it is my duty to protect the safety of the people.”
