► Fincantieri Marine Systems and Seatek to explore marine markets across the Americas

Chesapeake, Va., and Annone Brianza, Italy, 24/09/2026 – Fincantieri Marine Systems (FMS) and Seatek have signed an agreement to jointly assess commercial and naval marine opportunities and market Seatek propulsion systems in the United States, Canada, Central America, and South America.

The memorandum of understanding establishes a joint market assessment to evaluate a potential Seatek dealer distribution and service agreement.

FMS will showcase Seatek’s high-performance propulsion systems—including a 12-cylinder (1500 bhp) mock-up and a six-cylinder inline (900 bhp) production engine—at upcoming maritime exhibitions, including the International WorkBoat Show in December and the U.S. Navy League’s annual Sea-Air-Space exhibition in April 2027.

“This MOU is a first step toward pairing FMS’s North American service infrastructure with Seatek’s advanced engine technologies,” said Ryan W. Smith, CEO of Fincantieri Marine Systems. “Together, we will assess regional demand to guide potential future distribution.”
