At around 8 PM on the 18th, a fire occurred in the "Liberty Building" of the Argentine Navy General Staff located in the Retiro district of the capital Buenos Aires, leading to the emergency evacuation of 75 people, with at least 5 injured due to smoke inhalation. Witnesses reported that the flames were extremely fierce at one point.
Preliminary investigation reports indicate that the fire started in a storage room on the 12th floor and quickly spread to the office area on the 13th floor. The fire has now been extinguished.
