Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, August 18 (Reporter Chen Xiao, Shadati) - The Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Mustafa Izadi, recently stated that the United States had considered applying the "Venezuela" model to Iran, but ultimately failed to do so.

According to a report from the news website affiliated with the Revolutionary Guard on the 18th, Izadi said that the U.S. had developed plans to overthrow the Iranian regime and "dismember" Iran, and even considered using the "Venezuela" model for Iran, but ultimately did not achieve its goals and faced failures in multiple areas.

He also stated that U.S. air power has suffered significant losses, with over 200 American aircraft, including drones and manned aircraft, having crashed. Additionally, according to published data, the majority of young Americans do not support waging war against Iran.
