Iran claims to have struck over 200 sensitive U.S. and Israeli targets, including the "Desert Eye" radar.
Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, March 7 - According to a report from the Iranian Tasnim News Agency on the 7th, the spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Naini, stated that over the past week, the Iranian military has struck more than 200 sensitive targets deployed by the United States and Israel in the Middle East.
Naini said that statistics show that since the outbreak of conflict between the U.S., Israel, and Iran, Iran has launched a total of 600 missile strikes and 2,600 drone operations, accurately targeting and destroying over 200 sensitive targets located within U.S. military bases and important facilities in Israel.
Naini also mentioned that the relevant operations have destroyed 7 advanced radars that constitute the regional air defense early warning network, including the FPS-132 over-the-horizon radar system known as the "Desert Eye," which is deployed at the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.
Naini stated that these facilities are an important component of the U.S. extensive monitoring, interception, and air defense network in the Middle East. With the key radar systems being destroyed, the U.S. military's monitoring and air defense capabilities in the region have been "severely damaged."
