Iran has officially responded to the U.S. "15-point plan" through an intermediary.

Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, March 26 (Reporter Shadati) - The Iranian Tasnim News Agency reported on the 26th, citing informed sources, that Iran has officially responded to the U.S. proposal for a ceasefire agreement containing 15 points.

The report stated that Iran's response was formally issued on the evening of the 25th through a mediating country, and Iran is waiting for a response from the other side. In its response, Iran stated, "The enemy's aggression and acts of terror must end, objective conditions must be created to ensure that war does not recur, war reparations must be guaranteed and clearly resolved, and the end of the war must be implemented on all fronts, against all resistance organizations involved in this battle, and throughout the region. Iran's exercise of sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz is Iran's natural and legitimate right, which must be recognized."

The aforementioned five "musts" are consistent with the five conditions for a ceasefire reported by Iranian state television on the 25th.

The report indicated that Iran is well aware that the U.S. statements about negotiations are merely a "deception" tactic, with Americans having ulterior motives under the guise of negotiations: first, to deceive the world by presenting a facade of peace-loving and a desire to end the war; second, to lower global oil prices; and third, to buy time for a new act of aggression by launching a ground invasion from southern Iran.

The informed source said, "If before the '12th War' (last June) Iran had doubts about the outcome of negotiations and whether the U.S. would adhere to the agreement, since the '12th War,' Iran has expressed skepticism about the U.S. willingness to negotiate at any stage. In both the '12th War' and this war, the Americans launched their attacks during the negotiation period. This time, the Americans are again using negotiations as a pretext to pave the way for new crimes."
