Iran: No Drop of Oil Allowed to Flow Out, Natanz Nuclear Facility Attacked by US and Israel

The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claims it will destroy any vessels attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz

According to a report by the Iranian Students' News Agency on the 2nd, Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander Jabari stated in a live television broadcast that any vessel attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz will be destroyed, saying, "We will not allow a drop of oil to flow out of the region."

Additionally, the Iranian Fars News Agency reported on the same day that currently no oil tankers are passing through the Strait of Hormuz. 26 tankers are lingering near the strait, and another 27 tankers have completely halted operations, with a total carrying capacity of 12 million barrels of crude oil.

On February 28, the United States and Israel launched military strikes against Iran, and that evening, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a ban on any vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz. According to a report by the Iranian Mehr News Agency on March 1, an unauthorized tanker was hit while attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

The Strait of Hormuz connects the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman and is a vital route for crude oil exports from Middle Eastern oil-producing countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Qatar, and the UAE. Approximately one-fifth of the world's oil transportation passes through this strait.

Iran claims the Natanz nuclear facility was attacked twice by the US and Israel

According to a report by the Iranian Islamic Republic News Agency on the 2nd, the head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, Eslami, stated that the US and Israel launched two attacks on the Natanz nuclear facility located in Isfahan Province, central Iran, on the evening of the 1st.

Eslami made this statement in a letter to the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Grossi, emphasizing that Iran's nuclear facilities are "peaceful."

Eslami called on the International Atomic Energy Agency to fulfill its responsibilities as stipulated in its Statute and condemn such "illegal" actions. He stated that Iran has taken necessary measures to defend its sovereign rights and will take appropriate legal action.

On June 21 of last year, the US launched the "Midnight Hammer" operation against Iran, with President Trump announcing that US forces had "successfully struck" three nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

US and Israeli airstrikes hit southeastern Iran's port, over a hundred fishing boats catch fire

According to a report by the Iranian Students' News Agency on the 2nd, the southeastern port city of Jask along the Gulf of Oman was hit by US and Israeli airstrikes, resulting in over a hundred fishing boats catching fire and suffering severe damage.

The report cited information from the Hormozgan provincial government, stating that US and Israeli aircraft targeted a fishing dock in Jask during the airstrikes. In addition to the damage to local fishermen's boats, the airstrikes resulted in one injury.
