Iran Proposes Negotiation and Ceasefire Conditions to the United States

[Global Times Comprehensive Report] According to a report by the Iranian Tasnim News Agency on the 20th, Iranian Islamic Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf stated that Iran's position on the diplomatic front is "completely clear, reasonable, and non-negotiable." Iran's messages and conditions have been clearly conveyed to the United States through intermediaries. According to the Iranian News Agency, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Rezaei posted on social media platform X on the 20th, stating that Iran has proposed seven conditions to the United States to initiate negotiations, but did not specify what those conditions are.

On the previous day, Rezaei told Qatar's Al Jazeera that consultations with mediators from Qatar and Pakistan are ongoing, and the conditions for resuming negotiations have been communicated to the mediators from both countries. Rezaei also listed the conditions for ending the U.S.-Iran war and stated that they are waiting for a response from the U.S. Reports indicate that Iran's latest conditions include: ending hostilities on all fronts, especially in Lebanon; unfreezing Iran's frozen assets; ending the maritime blockade of Iranian ports; the U.S. stopping interference in Iran's internal affairs; the U.S. ceasing cooperation with Iran's opponents; and the U.S. halting all attacks on Iranian territory. Rezaei emphasized, "Accepting our conditions to end the war is in Washington's interest; (U.S. President) Trump's threats will have no results. We are ready for a decisive battle."     

According to U.S. Axios News, Trump stated on the 17th that he will make a "major decision" regarding whether to restart large-scale strikes against Iran. According to Pakistan's The Nation on the 20th, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Baghaei stated that Interior Minister Naqvi will visit Tehran on that day, but there is no information indicating that Naqvi will convey any messages or proposals from the U.S. (Ren Zhong)
