Iranian Military Rejects Trump's "48-Hour" Ultimatum

Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, April 4 - The commander of the Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces, Abdollahian, responded on the 4th to the "48-hour" ultimatum issued by U.S. President Trump, emphasizing that the Iranian military will firmly defend national rights and protect national assets, making aggressors pay the price.

The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting reported that Abdollahian stated that after facing continuous failures, Trump has exhibited "helpless, panicked, unbalanced, and foolish behavior," attempting to threaten Iran's infrastructure and national assets.

Abdollahian emphasized that if the U.S. and Israel launch such attacks, "we will launch sustained and devastating strikes on all infrastructure used by U.S. forces and Israeli infrastructure without restrictions." He reminded the U.S. and Israel that since the beginning of this imposed war on Iran, "everything we have said has been put into action."

Earlier that day, Trump posted on social media, demanding that Iran "reach an agreement" within 48 hours or "open the Strait of Hormuz," threatening that "time is running out - only 48 hours remain before disaster strikes them."

On March 26, Trump announced a 10-day delay for the "destruction" of Iran's energy facilities, extending the deadline to 8 PM Eastern Time on April 6.
