On March 1, Xinhua News Agency reported from Washington that Iranian Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian stated that the attacks by the United States and Israel have resulted in the loss of some commanders for Iran, but Iran's military capabilities remain unchanged, and compared to the conflict in June last year, it is now able to retaliate more quickly.

Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks during an interview with ABC when asked about the extent of the damage to Iran's military infrastructure caused by the attacks.

When asked whether there is still a possibility of negotiating with the United States to resolve the conflict, Amir-Abdollahian expressed skepticism, stating that in recent years, the U.S.-Iran nuclear negotiations have become "a very painful experience" for Iran. He noted that Iran was negotiating with the United States at the time of the attacks both this time and in June last year, and Iran believed that the negotiations were making progress. He accused those who "oppose peace" of undermining the diplomatic negotiation process.

On March 1, the U.S. Central Command stated that since the military operations against Iran began on February 28, U.S. forces have struck over 1,000 targets, including the destruction of the headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Additionally, according to a report from the Iranian Tasnim News Agency on the same day, seven senior Iranian military commanders, including the head of the Iranian Armed Forces General Staff, were killed in the attacks launched by Israel and the United States.
