Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, September 5 - According to the Iranian Fars News Agency, the commander of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy stated on the 5th that Iran struck 3 American vessels and 3 oil tankers that were passing through unauthorized routes in the Strait of Hormuz, in response to the earlier attack by the U.S. military on an Iranian oil tanker.
The statement warned that all vessels near the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz "should not be deceived by the U.S. military" and should avoid engaging in "suspicious activities" on any unauthorized routes, or they will become targets of strikes.
As of the time of publication, the U.S. side has not responded to the above statement.
