Iran's Revolutionary Guard Claims "Complete Control" Over Hormuz Strait Situation

Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, April 1 (Reporter Chen Xiao, Shadati) - The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran stated on April 1 that its navy has struck multiple targets, asserting that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz is under its "complete control."

The statement refuted claims from the U.S. and Israel regarding a decrease in the intensity of Iran's strikes. It stated that since dawn that day, Iran has conducted multiple rounds of strikes on relevant targets using ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones as part of a new round of military operations. This is also part of the 89th wave of Operation "Real Commitment-4."

The Revolutionary Guard stated that its targets included certain U.S. radar facilities located in the Gulf region, an oil tanker belonging to Israel, and several military facilities. Iran also launched suicide drones at the U.S. aircraft carrier group "Lincoln" deployed in the northern Indian Ocean, claiming that the group has withdrawn from its original position.

The statement emphasized that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz is "firmly controlled" by the navy of the Revolutionary Guard, and that the strait will not be opened to hostile forces due to the "performative actions" of the U.S. president.
