In the early hours of the 12th local time, the spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Sabah Numan, issued a statement saying that, in light of the confirmation that the previous attack on Saudi Arabia was launched from a location within Iraq's Maysan Province, Iraqi Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Al-Zaydi, has ordered the establishment of an investigation committee for the Maysan Provincial Operations Command and has relieved the commander of the provincial operations command of his duties.

Additionally, on the evening of the 11th, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein spoke on the phone with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal. Both sides reaffirmed the deep relationship between Iraq and Saudi Arabia and exchanged views on the latest developments in the regional situation and issues of mutual concern. They also stated that they would continue to strengthen communication, coordination, and consultation to promote bilateral cooperation and make efforts to maintain regional security and stability.
