Xinhua News Agency, Gaza, May 23 (Reporters Huang Zemin, Zhao Weihong) The police department of the Gaza Strip stated on the 23rd that the Israeli army bombed a police office location in northern Gaza, resulting in the deaths of 5 police officers.

Witnesses told Xinhua reporters that Israeli drones launched 2 missiles, and explosions were heard at the attacked location shortly thereafter. Sources from the Gaza medical department reported that local hospitals received the bodies of 5 deceased individuals and 6 injured persons.

The Israeli military has not yet responded to this.

According to data released by the Gaza health department on the 23rd, since the first phase of the ceasefire agreement took effect in October 2025, Israeli military actions in the Gaza Strip have resulted in 890 deaths and 2,677 injuries.
