On April 24, Xinhua News Agency in Jerusalem reported (reporters Pang Xinyi and Wang Zhuolun) that the Arabic spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces called on residents of a town in southern Lebanon to "evacuate immediately" on social media, stating that the Israeli military would soon "take action" in the area.

The Israeli military requested that residents of the town of Deir Ammar "evacuate immediately," staying at least one kilometer away. The Israeli military claimed that the armed activities of Hezbollah and the attacks launched from this town "forced" them to "take action" in the area.

Israeli civil defense software indicated that air raid sirens were sounded in multiple locations in the north that afternoon, and the Israeli military stated that they successfully intercepted a drone attempting to enter Israeli airspace. Additionally, the military discovered a "suspicious aerial target" in southern Lebanon.

At midnight local time on the 17th, a temporary ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel took effect for a period of 10 days. However, Israel continued to launch attacks citing violations of the ceasefire agreement by Hezbollah. On the evening of the 23rd Eastern Time, U.S. President Trump announced on social media that the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon would be extended for three weeks. Subsequently, the Israeli military accused Hezbollah of "violating the ceasefire agreement" and continued to strike Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.
