Recently, the 905 Hospital of the Naval Medical University conducted a comprehensive and realistic joint exercise on medical support in collaboration with the Anhui ship, testing capabilities such as emergency deployment at sea, mass casualty management, and coordination of onboard medical forces.

The Anhui ship is a Type 075 amphibious assault ship, hull number 33, with a displacement of 40,000 tons, capable of carrying helicopters and amphibious equipment, serving as a major platform for the People's Navy's ocean operations. Due to its significant role, it can easily become a key target for enemy reconnaissance satellites, early warning aircraft, and anti-ship weapons in modern naval warfare, which poses challenges and demands on the ship's own medical rescue capabilities. This joint medical support exercise was conducted against the backdrop of the ship encountering "enemy" target strikes.

As the combat alarm sounded, a group of casualties was transported to the ship's deck, where the medical team's triage group used portable military medical backpacks for rapid triage. The exercise focused on treatment subjects such as seawater immersion injuries, gunshot wounds, and burns, conducting realistic medical support drills at sea, with triage, surgery, and critical care each fulfilling their roles, testing the medical team's rapid response, precise treatment, and coordinated support capabilities in extreme environments.

Xu Tianming, 905 Hospital of the Naval Medical University: The maritime combat environment and operational platform have certain particularities. Through the exercise, we focus on winning in real combat, honing our medical support capabilities at sea with superb professional skills, ensuring that we can deploy, board, rescue, and win at critical moments.
