Jordan claims to have intercepted 10 Iranian missiles within hours.
Xinhua News Agency, Amman, September 2 (Reporter He Yiping) - The Jordanian Armed Forces issued a statement early on the 2nd, saying that the Jordanian air defense system intercepted 10 ballistic missiles from Iran in the past few hours, while another 3 ballistic missiles landed in remote areas.
The statement said that the interception operation did not result in any casualties. Professionals have handled the locations where missile debris fell and taken necessary measures to protect civilian safety.
The statement added that the Jordanian Armed Forces continue to carry out their missions around the clock, with monitoring and air defense systems on alert to respond to any threats, maintaining national and civilian safety as well as airspace sovereignty.

According to the Iranian Mehr News Agency, the Jordanian Muwaffaq Salti Air Base was subjected to a large-scale attack on the 1st, being hit by ballistic missiles. Iranian missiles struck the air base on July 17, resulting in the deaths of several U.S. soldiers.
