Kazakhstan: Joint Air Defense Exercises Held by Kazakhstan and Russia
Xinhua News Agency, Astana, February 21 (Reporter Zhang Jiya) According to the Kazakhstan International News Agency, Kazakhstan and Russia are conducting a joint air defense military exercise from February 20 to March 10.
The Kazinform agency reported on the 21st, citing information from the Kazakhstan Ministry of Defense, that the exercise is being carried out according to the joint action plan for establishing a unified regional air defense system between Kazakhstan and Russia, aimed at enhancing coordination capabilities, combat skills, and readiness levels.
The report stated that during the exercise, the forces of both countries will focus on practicing the detection and tracking of aerial targets, intercepting aircraft that intrude into airspace, and forcing non-compliant aircraft to land at designated airports, among other subjects.
