Elite troops wielding sharp blades protect not only their homes but also their country. In the ranks of the People's Army, the Army, Navy, and Air Force each have their own dedicated aviation units. How do these "aviators," who fight in the skies, sharpen their combat skills in real-world training?

Recently, a midnight training exercise involving different types of aircraft was launched by a certain unit of the Air Force. The assault formation was the first to fly to the designated airspace. To evade "enemy" reconnaissance, the aircraft quickly descended to a lower altitude, advancing towards the target maritime area using ultra-low altitude penetration tactics over the sea.

Air Force Unit Zhang Wentao: The biggest challenge of night flying is situational awareness. At night over the sea, there are no other reference points; we must rely on instruments and onboard radar, maintaining a highly concentrated state with every maneuver.

Subsequently, the air superiority formation arrived at the predetermined airspace. Under the guidance of the airborne commander, they conducted tactical formation joint operations with different types of aircraft, engaging in fierce confrontations against "incoming" targets.

Taking advantage of the brief opportunity provided by cover forces to distract "enemy" aircraft, the assault formation quickly maneuvered, successfully passing through the "enemy" air defense fire network, locking onto the "enemy" position, and simulating an attack on the target.

This holiday, the naval flying sharks also spread their wings over the sea and sky. A certain unit of the Navy set up a realistic training backdrop, where naval aviation flight students piloted J-15 carrier-based fighter jets to conduct live-fire attacks on ground targets using rockets, aerial bombs, and cannons, thoroughly testing their actual weapon usage capabilities and tactical coordination abilities.

After completing live rocket firing, the aircraft quickly climbed and proceeded with cannon and aerial bomb firing training as planned. Following the live-fire exercises, participating flight students sequentially joined the landing approach, conducting land-based simulated landing training under the guidance of the landing commander.

Navy Unit Cishan Yu: This live-fire training faced complex weather conditions and rapid weapon type transitions, effectively testing the participating flight students' target search, situational awareness, and air-ground coordination capabilities, laying a solid foundation for the transition from "able to fly and land on ships" to "able to fight and cooperate."

At a certain brigade of the 82nd Group Army, a multi-type, high-intensity flight training exercise for army aviation was launched.

During the training, emergency situations such as helicopter tail rotor failures and engine failures in mid-air constantly tested the psychological resilience, superb flying skills, and emergency response capabilities of the army aviation pilots.

82nd Group Army Brigade Li Ruibin: In this training, we adhered to a combat-oriented approach, enhancing our emergency response capabilities in the air through theoretical discussions, simulations, and actual flight training.

The exercise integrated tactical scenarios throughout the training process, covering multiple high-difficulty subjects such as daytime penetration, nighttime assaults, and emergency response, laying a solid foundation for carrying out diverse military tasks.
