Lebanese Army Deploys to Southern Lebanon "Pilot Area"
Xinhua News Agency, Beirut, July 21 (Reporter Shen Feng, Cao Changhao) - Sources from Lebanese security agencies and local witnesses confirmed to Xinhua reporters on the 21st that after the Israeli army withdrew from the town of Al-Tal Qalbiyeh in southern Lebanon, the Lebanese army began to deploy in the town and establish defense points on the same day.
On the 20th, the U.S. State Department issued a statement saying that the Israeli army's withdrawal operation in the first "pilot area" in southern Lebanon was launched that day in three villages and towns in southern Lebanon.
