The Philippine vessel 3015 ignored multiple stern warnings from the Chinese side, deliberately adjusted its course, and suddenly accelerated to cut across the bow of our coast guard vessel, resulting in a collision. Video evidence obtained by a reporter from the Global Times shows that during this provocation by the Philippine side, the vessel 3015 attempted to cut across the bow of the China Coast Guard vessel Zhaozhou Ao twice, and during the second provocation, the Philippine vessel collided with the Chinese coast guard ship due to improper operation.

The video shows that the Philippine vessel cut across the bow of our coast guard vessel twice within ten minutes, clearly indicating a provocative intent. During the second crossing of our vessel's bow by the Philippine vessel 3015, it first accelerated, and after approaching the China Coast Guard vessel Zhaozhou Ao, the Philippine vessel not only failed to adjust its course in time but also intentionally accelerated, attempting to "hit and claim" against the Zhaozhou Ao. Meanwhile, the China Coast Guard vessel Zhaozhou Ao maintained a straight course, keeping its heading stable and operating in a standardized manner throughout.

It is understood that the Philippine vessel 3015 involved in this infringement is a government vessel of the Philippine Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, with a tonnage of about 300 tons. In recent years, such vessels from the Philippines have frequently participated in provocative actions in the South China Sea, resulting in multiple collisions with Chinese coast guard ships.

Jiang Lue, spokesperson for the China Coast Guard, stated that the actions of the Philippine side seriously violate international law and the basic principles of international relations, threatening the safety of Chinese coast guard vessels and personnel. The operations of the China Coast Guard vessel are professional, standardized, reasonable, and legal, and all responsibility lies with the Philippine side. We warn the Philippine side to immediately cease all acts of infringement and provocation, or else bear all consequences arising therefrom. The China Coast Guard will continue to carry out law enforcement actions to safeguard rights in waters under Chinese jurisdiction, maintaining national territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.
