Macron: France's "Charles de Gaulle" Aircraft Carrier to be Deployed in the Mediterranean

On the evening of March 3 local time, French President Macron delivered a televised address to the nation, informing the French public about the latest situation regarding Iran and the Middle East, as well as France's position.

Macron stated that achieving lasting peace in the region must be done through the restoration of diplomatic negotiations, and military strikes should be halted as soon as possible, the relevant actions of the United States and Israel occur outside the framework of international law. He also emphasized that France supports alleviating tensions through diplomatic means to prevent further escalation of conflict.

Additionally, Macron called on Israel to respect the territorial sovereignty of Lebanon, stating that if Israel decides to conduct ground military operations in Lebanon, it would be a "dangerous escalation" and a "strategic mistake," which could impact the security environment of the entire Middle East and Europe.

In his address, Macron confirmed that the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle will be deployed in the Mediterranean to respond to the tensions in the Middle East and ensure the safety of France and its allies.
