Jiang Bin: Recently, the "Border Defense Cooperation - 2026" joint exercise among China, Russia, and Mongolia was held in the border area near Manzhouli City, Inner Mongolia. This joint exercise focused on preventing and combating reconnaissance and sabotage activities in border areas. The three parties conducted live drills on joint planning, joint searching, joint strikes and arrests, and joint handovers, utilizing various modern, unmanned, and intelligent border control methods to jointly strengthen the border security barrier. After the exercise, the three parties also exchanged ideas on military horse riding techniques, navigating obstacle areas, and military dog search and identification, tracking, and capturing tasks.

This is the second time that the border defense forces of China, Russia, and Mongolia have organized this series of joint training, marking a new stage in the trilateral border defense cooperation that has moved from "initial exploration" to "deep integration." This will further enhance the ability to jointly respond to emergencies and maintain peace and stability in border areas, while continuously deepening and expanding the traditional friendship and pragmatic cooperation among the three parties.
