Navy 83 Fleet Arrives in Russia for Friendly Visit

On the morning of June 23

the Navy's 83rd fleet, tasked with a comprehensive training and visiting mission,

arrived at

Vladivostok Port, Russia

to begin a four-day visit.

This is the first visit to Russia

by the Qi Jiguang and Kunlunshan ships

since their commissioning.

At around 10 a.m. local time,

the Navy's Qi Jiguang and

Kunlunshan ships, flying the flags of China and Russia,

docked at

the Golden Horn Bay Wharf in Vladivostok, Russia.

A welcome ceremony was held at the wharf,

with staff from the Chinese Consulate General in Vladivostok,

local Chinese citizens and representatives from Chinese-funded institutions,

representatives of international students,

the principal of the Russian Navy Pacific Higher Naval School,

and representatives of the Pacific Fleet officers and soldiers,

over 200 people gathered at the wharf to welcome them.

After the welcome ceremony,

the Qi Jiguang ship was opened for visits.

During the visit,

the fleet's officers and soldiers will visit

the Russian Navy's Admiral Shaposhnikov destroyer

and the Pacific Fleet Museum for exchanges,

and engage in professional and

cultural and sports exchange activities with Russian Navy personnel.

In addition, the fleet will also organize ship open days and

deck receptions among other activities.
